Vancouver Review

0
Spent a couple of days in Vancouver where I believe I got to see most of the city. Unfortunately, I really didn't have a chance to try as many restaurants as I would have liked...Oh well, that's life. On the other hand, I did manage to squeeze in a cross-border trip to Seattle.

And, instead of posting the pics here I decided to use my Dropbox account for the photos...It's really quite neat for sharing pics...You just need to copy them to the Dropbox folder in Windows and that's it. Use this link if you want to try Dropbox, you will get extra 250 MB in space (so they say).

Some highlights of the trip:
  • Visited Vancouver districts: Downtown, Gastown/Chinatown, Robson street and Yaletown.
  • Capilano Suspension Bridge
  • Stanley Park/Seawall/Canada Place (Olympic flame structure too)
  • Seattle
  • Richmond

And the last thing I will mention is that public transit (from what I can see) is essentially based on the "honour system". I bought my day pass as required, but there is absolutely nothing to verify that you actually bought it. No turnstiles, no security person (well, there is a sign that says you must show proof if asked)...Nothing. That would never fly in Montreal; I'd be shocked if people here would buy tickets if hardly anyone checks up on them...
