Dropped in at Big In Japan restaurant on St. Laurent for a light bite on a weekday night (was mostly empty). They label themselves as serving "classic Japanese comfort food", but I have no idea if that is an accurate statement or not. The decor is not as trendy looking as say Imadake—It's a casual place with food court style seating.
As for food, I tried the following: Fish cakes (entree), spicy beef & eggplant on ramen and sesame stewed pork salad (both mains). Nothing really blew me away, but they were all pretty decent for the price. If I am in the area I would go back and try something else.
