Electrolux Ergorapido Ultra Vacuum Review

4
Just took a chance and picked up this cordless vacuum cleaner at Costco the other day. Most vacuum cleaners are not cordless and that was a big selling point for me. I was about to spring for a Roomba, but since it costs at least three times more than this cordless Electrolux Ergorapido Ultra, I decided to try out the Electrolux.

Things I liked about the Electrolux Ergorapido Ultra:

Relatively quiet on normal speed, lightweight, bagless dust bin, and rolls around on hardwood floors very easily (no experience with carpets). The head is very maneuverable (thanks to its 180 degree swivel head) when you push it around (almost too maneuverable). Of course, the cordless aspect is very convenient.

What I didn't like:

The charge could last longer (designed for a 20-minute run time). It seems that it is designed to be docked in its charging station after each use. For small condo apartments, this fits the bill. People with larger homes will not appreciate the short battery life and will want to stay away from this vacuum.

Future Issues?

One of the complaints I've seen is that the battery doesn't hold its charge very well after a year or so of use. If so that would be very disappointing. I'll be sure to keep this post updated if that happens.
