Montreal's First IKEA Store

Wikipedia: IKEA is a Swedish international home furnishings retailer well-known for its unique furniture that consumers are often required to assemble for themselves...They are often designed around a "one-way" layout which leads customers along "the natural way," a pathway which provides convenient access to all areas of the store.
Went to IKEA for the first time ever, and it's as big as people have said it to be. The parking lot was jam packed in the morning, and it was probably the biggest parking lot I've seen for a store in Montreal...

It's quite interesting to walk around and look at all the different things they have...It really is different than your "normal" shopping at Wal-Mart or department store. It's more like an experience to be had, which is probably what they were going for when desiging the floor plans for the store. They have a Swedish-style grocery store at the end, but the line-up at the restaurant was pretty crazy, so maybe next time I'll get something...

In any case, it looks like I have some building to do...I guess this is where playing with Lego blocks as a kid could come in handy!
