You know those metal clothes hangers in your closet? You can actually use them to make an improv TV antenna...yes, it's true.

Usually, you won't have any air signal just pure static (unless there's an antennae already on your TV). But, just break off one end of the hanger and stick it in the cable entry port and poof! Just like magic, you'll start to see some video and hear an audio signal. Cool! Not a great signal for all the channels, but it's free (what do you really expect, right?).

Signal strength plays a big role, and I was really surprised that the French channels came in quite clear (almost cable-like quality, yes, it's true...); I can only assume that since we are in Quebec, these signals are much stronger than the English signal we get.
