Nickelback Concert Review

0
Following up the Bryan Adams concert we saw...We got to the Bell Centre in the freezing cold, and with winds over 90km/h it made walking an interesting task (i.e. avoid losing extremities to frostbite)...

Google Image Search does it again...

We got there in time to catch Live play about ten songs, quite a lot for an opening act. Then when Nickelback was finally due to start...KAPOW! Fireworks blasting, and they jump in and start playing one of their hits. To finish off the song more fireworks KAPOW! KAPOW! (not sure how else to describe the sound it makes)...I can tell you right now that fireworks going off indoors and with you standing only several meters away can be is deafening.

Playing songs off their new album, and some old stuff, the show continued with more fireworks, hot blinding flares/flames made it an all-round assault on your senses...But, I kinda knew what to expect since I've seen them before..

The stage protruded into the floor so this was as close as we've ever seen them at the Bell Centre...Of course I forgot my camera so I have no pictures to prove this, but that's always how it works out doesn't it?

I'll rehash a picture I took at their last show in Montreal...

Anyways, people were diving on the floor, and jumping in the air trying to grab the t-shirts and guitar picks they tossed into the crowd...Then at one point near the end of the show I somehow saw something flying through the air and bounce of Rob's shoulder. Then I felt something hit me in the chest...I instinctively put my hand to my chest...I look down and...Poof! Like magic I have an authentic Nickelback guitar pick in my hand. Cool! Next up is James Blunt...
